Quality of Advice (Outcomes) Project

As at July 2008, the Panel had received regular updates from the FSA in regard to the Quality of Advice (Outcomes) Project, however it remained unconvinced that the benefits from this work will justify its cost. At that time the pilot was drawing to a close and the Panel strongly felt that unless it proved possible to undertake this exercise in a way that would produce credible and valuable conclusions, then the FSA should decide not to proceed to the next stage. The FSA did indeed stop this project.
